About the panelists:
Sarah Harbarth, Co-Founder & CEO KUORI
Sarah Harbarth is a young, ambitious industrial designer based in Basel, Switzerland, who concentrates on sustainable material design by following the cradle-to-cradle philosophy. With her Cleantech Startup KUORI, she implements her vision and applies natural, biodegradable materials to drive the transition to a circular economy. The cleantech start-up KUORI develops and sells circular, innovative materials that are produced with the help of food side streams such as banana peel or nutshells. In the spirit of the circular economy, KUORI materials should be both elastic, of biological origin and biodegradable. One of their first applications is in shoe soles, where they prevent the harmful abrasion of microplastics into soil and water.
Belén Bolliger Stämpfli, Co-Founder OiOiOi
Belén is Co-Founder of OiOiOi, a Swiss-based startup, that is currently revolutionizing the way parents manage a growing baby’s wardrobe needs. Their circular business model enables parents to effortlessly subscribe for organic baby and kids clothes and swap them for the next size whenever needed. Launched in 2020 with the mission to make renting easier than buying, OiOiOi has just within months become a renowned address in the industry and will expand to other European countries this year. By choosing OiOiOi, a customer saves on average between 70-90% of CO2, water and textile waste per year compared to the traditional consumption.
